We are a couple from Northern Virginia, currently serving Peace Corps volunteers in Olancho, Honduras. We both graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008, Jeff with a BA in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and minor in Religious Studies, and Sam with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Economics. After that, Sam studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science for an MSc in Local Economic Development.
We applied for the Peace Corps in June of 2010, interviewed in August, cleared medical in October, and got our official invitation for Honduras in November. We arrived here in Honduras on the 24th of February, 2011. Jeff is serving as a health extension volunteer, and Sam is serving as a business advising volunteer.
Sam likes to knit, read, and plant things. Jeff also likes to read and plant things, but additionally likes to eat baleadas and play soccer.
